Revealing Cheshire's Past database
Welcome to the Revealing Cheshire’s Past database, an accessible version of the Historic Environment Record, which allows you to find out about Cheshire's historic sites and buildings.
The Cheshire Historic Environment Record contains over 10,000 records on a wide variety of buildings and sites, from finds of prehistoric flint tools to medieval castles and Second World War pillboxes, within the County of Cheshire (the area covered by Cheshire West & Chester, Cheshire East, Halton and Warrington Councils).
The information shown on the Revealing Cheshire's Past database is a selection of the records held by the Cheshire Historic Environment Record and should be in no way considered definitive. Therefore individuals and organisations requiring information for planning or development control purposes, the development of management policies, or for the preparation of agri-environment applications, desk based assessments or EIAs, should contact the HER directly.
If you would like to make any comments or have any questions please contact the Cheshire Historic Environment Record.
Before using the database please make sure that you have read the terms and conditions of use.
Revealing Cheshire's Past is a Heritage Lottery Funded project to increase access to the Cheshire Historic Environment Record.
